Experienced Law Firm Representing Businesses in Civil Litigation
Ashish Mahendru's philosophy in litigating complex disputes is to get to the heart of the matter as quickly as possible without expending inordinate resources on discovery. That philosophy guides the litigation strategy and the bottom line strategy. Creative lawyering doesn't always mean finding your answers through exhaustive discovery from the other side. It requires having a thorough understanding of the client's business through interviewing the client's key witnesses.
An entrepreneur and businessman himself, Ashish Mahendru understands that getting an attorney involved in a dispute to formulate a business solution on the front end, may avert litigation. He understands how legal disputes can affect your bottom line and will work closely with you to identify and implement strategies that protect your business interests. Trade secrets and non-compete agreements
Trade Secret Protection Litigation
Mahendru P.C. will work closely with you to determine whether the best way to protect your confidential or proprietary information is through the law of trade secrets. A fundamental principle of trade secret law is a contractual agreement, whereby your employees and/or vendors agree not to disclose any confidential information. Trade secrets can also be improperly obtained by third parties who have unauthorized access to the information, including individuals who hack into company Web sites.
Mahendru P.C. handles situations where there has been a theft of trade secrets or a disclosure of the company's confidential and proprietary information. In such circumstances, Mahendru P.C. works with clients to seek injunctions to prevent the disclosure of trade secrets, company confidential and proprietary information.
Non-Compete Agreement Litigation
The firm represents plaintiffs or defendants in situations involving allegations of breach of a non-compete agreement. If you have a former employee who signed a non-compete, or if you have previously worked for a company and want to use your knowledge and experience to establish your own business, Mahendru P.C. can help protect your interests.
Interference of business
I can represent either the plaintiff or defense:
Has your business been accused of actions that harmed other businesses or individuals? I can help you deal with the matter quickly.
Has another company or individual interfered in your business relationships? I may be able to assist you in collecting the damages caused to your company by the wrongful conduct of another.
Requests for injunctive relief
Monetary damages cannot solve all problems. An injunction may be permanent or it may be temporary. A preliminary injunction, or an interlocutory injunction, is a provisional remedy granted to restrain activity on a temporary basis until the court can make a final decision after trial. It is usually necessary to prove the high likelihood of success upon the merits of one's case and a likelihood of irreparable harm in the absence of a preliminary injunction before such an injunction may be granted; otherwise the party may have to wait for trial to obtain a permanent injunction.
Attorney Mahendru maintains flexible office hours and is available to meet with you outside traditional business hours. The firm meets with clients by appointment.
